This is a dandy of a recipe to use leftover ham that is sure to make everyone in your house so happy! It is easy and perfect for sitting around and watching football. All you need is some hash browns and leftover Schwab’s ham (my personal favorite). The rest is just pantry items!
Cowboy Casserole
2 pounds frozen hash browns, thawed
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 cups Schwab’s ham, cubed
1 can (10.75 ounces) cream of chicken soup
1 pint sour cream
1/2 cup onion, chopped
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup french fried onions
In a large bowl combine all of the ingredients except for the fried onions. Place in the bowl of a well sprayed slow cooker. Cook on high for 3 hours. Sprinkle the top with french fried onions and replace the lid for another hour. Serve!
