I will be supporting my lovely and kind step-mother, Vicki. She had a partial mastectomy several years ago when they found cancer. This was very traumatic for her entire family and especially for her as she lost her own mother to breast cancer when she was a young girl of 12. She had done wonderful for several years but they found a new mass this year so in June she went in for a complete mastectomy. She is doing good now and has always been the first to help others and worry about herself last. Her strength and courage have been an inspiration to me. I will always love her and strive to be as loving and caring as she.
Alicia Allen says

I get my mammogram every December in conjunction with my military flight physical. Not so much that I have to but because it’s the smart and healthy thing to do. I also do it because my Mom is a breast cancer survivor for many years now. I think back how far research and surgery techniques have come since the 1980s/1990s. Many women today do not have to have mastectomies that so many did years ago. I wish my Mom could be one of them but I am still greatful that she is still here with me today with the same smile and spirirt she had before breast cancer.
Dejah says
I don’t get Mammogram’s yet, but I do get checked every year during my physical, so I won’t go back till next June. Breast cancer really scares me, and I love that there are so many companies that support this great cause.
