I very rarely get fired up but I am pretty bent out of shape on this issue. I know nothing is off limits in business however I truly thought Girl Scout cookies were sacred. I am not just a consumer of GS cookies. I was a Girl Scout for 12 years. I drug along my little wagon delivering cookies in rain, snow and sunshine growing up in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. My Mom never drove me to deliver. She told me it was my job to sell them door to door and then to deliver. I truly believe my experiences doing this led me the adult I am today. I learned to be good in sales and overcome objections even from the grouchiest of elderly people. Taught me to communicate with adults. Work with money and to see what hard work produced. It was my sales of over 500 boxes that allowed me to go to Camp Wa-Sha-She every summer!
So, when I see a huge company knocking off the Girl Scout cookies one after the other it really ticks me off! Could Keebler not make enough on their own cookie creations that they had to go after the Girl Scouts? Please share this with others and help me inform the public. There is no need to allow this company to make huge profits off of a product the Girl Scouts have been selling for decades.
