If you follow me on any of my social media accounts you know that I love animals! My heart is partial to cats but who cannot love a puppy dog? I loved one with all of my heart. When Jack and I were first married we adopted a sweet Lab Mix that we named Kitty Dog. She had to be integrated into a home with 3 other cats so we felt that name gave her the best chances of fitting in. Kitty instantly stole our hearts and became the best friend to the cats too! Early on, we realized Kitty loved peanut butter. It was also a time when I made all the treats around the house. Well, Kitty dog also received some of my yummy delicacies. Here are two of her favorites! In fact, the Puppy Pops are so good you can eat them yourself! Just ask Robin Marsh!
Kitty’s Peanut Butter Bones
1 cup whole wheat flour
½ Tablespoon baking powder
½ cup unsalted natural/organic peanut butter
½ cup skim milk
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside. In a medium sized bowl mix together the peanut butter and milk with a spoon till smooth. Stir in the baking powder and whole wheat flour. Mix until the ingredients are all incorporated. Place the dough onto a lightly whole wheat flour dusted counter top. Knead lightly till the dough is smooth. Roll out to a 1/4 inch thickness. Use a small round cookie cutter or bone shaped cookie cutter. Place the cookies on the baking sheet and bake for 17-20 minutes or until golden brown.
