I just have to start out by telling everyone thank you so much for making Jack’s birthday so so special! It was a busy day for me trying to get his movie burned to a CD and then get my hair done, fix the cake from Thursday’s disaster, go to Chickasha for game 1 of an all weekend long baseball tournament (did I mention the 30 mph wind), then dinner and finally the presentation of the “movie.”
I have to say my favorite part was going to eat at Jake’s Ribs with the Hull family. Nothing like ordering 8 meats and 12 sides (2 family packs) to get the good conversations and happy birthday feelings going. Fisher treated Jack to a resounding rendition of Happy Birthday that the dining room joined in to and then we proceeded to attack the 8 meats and 12 sides. I keep saying that because, Dear Jesus that was a lot of food! As if the good food and song was not enough, they bought us dinner and then gave Jack a commerative t-shirt! Now that is good times. We came home tired, full and dusty but sat down with Jack to watch his birthday movie. He loved it! Everyone had a different message yet they were all basically the same….that my hubby is one special guy! After all that we were way to tired for 4 layer cake so we told the kids in our sleepyness that they could have it for breakfast. (thinking they were too tired to hear that.)
Well, it is 7:55 am and the Jack’s have left for game 2 in Chickasha and Caytie is ready to go play basketball at 9 and this was their meal of champions to start the day!
