Limes are my go to summer fruit. They are perfect in foods both sweet and savory! Today it is all about those lime drinks that keep us hydrated and happy all season long. I came across this Creamy Limeade when I was eating at Brazilian steakhouses in Florida. My family was knocking them out as quick as they could blend them. Now I love a traditional limeade but this one is a fun twist! Plus it is easy to make at home. No need for simple syrup!
Creamy Lime Cooler
3 limes, cut into quarters
1 can sweetened condensed milk
7 cups water
1/2-3/4 cup sugar
In a blender add all the ingredients. Blend for one minute. Pour the limeade through a fine mesh strainer to remove lime bits. Serve over ice.
If you have not tried this sherbet, Braum’s Cherry Limeade Sherbet, then you must run now to get some. I was a little skeptical but it is ADDICTIVE! I am going through this stuff like crazy. Not too sweet but perfectly limey! So, in my divine wisdom I took this little gastro gem and turned it into a Double Cherry Limeade Freeze! I promise once you make it you will be making these all summer long.
Double Cherry Limeade Freeze
1/2 quart Braum’s Cherry Limeade Sherbet
1/2 jar maraschino cherries, drained
1 cup lemon lime soda
In a blender add all the ingredients and blend for 30 seconds. Serve with a cherry on top.
