I am a strong believer that kitchen gadgets are great but there are some that just are timeless and stand alone. I can still remember the Christmas when my Grandma and Mom got theirs. They squealed and screamed while dancing around the Christmas tree. I was a kid so I was wondering what was all the fuss about a KitchenAid Mixer. Well, I am a believer NOW. I cooked my first Thanksgiving meal at the age of 13. I can still remember when it came time to learn to make my Grandma’s rolls. She brought in her harvest gold KitchenAid mixer from the car and set it right next to mine. She taught me the art of creaming butter, adding in the eggs one by one and then the delicate balance of adding the dry ingredients in with the wet. It was a dance between two generations and our Kitchen Aids. It was a day I will never forget and my first introduction to the world of KitchenAid. (Do not laugh at the bad hair and glasses…it was the early 80’s!)
I have been a long time consumer of KitchenAid products. Through the years I have acquired many of their appliances but my favorite is still the Stand Mixer. In fact, I have already told my daughter that she can have my pink one when she leaves home. My gift to her so she can share her love of cooking with others! Through the years KitchenAid Mixers really have not changed a lot in the way they look but boy have they been fine tuning that motor!!!
Get ready to meet KitchenAid’s newest Stand Mixer!

Suzanne Frewaldt says
I would not make anything. I would leave it up to my mom to make something from it. She has always wanted a kitchen aid but unable to afford one. She always supports us to do the very best we could, which left her with little for herself. She loves cooking and trying new recipes. If I won I would give it to her and make her dream come true. So she would have to come up with what would be first made in the Kitchen Aid Mixer.
Cherrie says
This year is going to be MY first year making Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner for my extended family. Usually my mother-in-law makes our Holiday meals, but my sister-in-law and I have decided to try our hand at it. This would make my pumpkin pies, mashed potatoes and pumpkin bread go so much smoother and quicker. My mother loves her Kitchen Aid and I have always wanted one!!!!
Robyn McKenzie says
Since my mother passed away I am now the family cook. I am only 32 years old and I cook every Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday for my family. Over the last 10 years I have taught myself how to make all the wonderful casseroles, my mothers wonderful homemade yeast bread and I can even make her homemade cinnamon rolls. I have also perfected from scratch red velvet cupcakes. To have a Kitchen Aid mixer would make all these wonderful recipes so much easier. This holiday season my goal was to learn to make homemade pie crust just like my mom and grandma use to make!
M. Jaime says
I wouldnt know where to begin….. My son has undergone extensive testing for GERD… it has been a difficult transition, but he has been quite the trooper. But I bet he would pick something “sweet”, since he cannot have chocolate anymore, it’s been hard to find an alternative, cause who doesn’t love chocolate? Lol so whatever we would make first, it would have to be something sweet that hits the spot like chocolate.. Is that possible? ;•)) Thank you, ~The Jaime Family~

We make large amounts of baked goods and it would be great to have a large heavy duty mixer to make large amounts of dough for cookies, breads, muffins, etc. The church is reaching out to people from every walk of life and people who may not feel comfortable in mainstream churches. Thanks
Cheri says

Oh my! That’s my DREAM Kitchen Aid! If I had that Kitchen Aid, the first thing I would whip up would be a batch of homemade, extra large, chewy chocolate chip cookies for my children. I could double or triple the batch with that Kitchen Aid! The large chocolate chip cookies would be followed by an old time favorite: M&M cookies (and they’d be super sized too). What a great appliance to have for the upcoming holidays! I’ve wanted that particular model for awhile. With a family of six and the amount of cooking I do, it would be super useful.

So, I got this bright idea and for some stupid reason I volunteered to make the entire Thanksgiving dinner for my whole family by myself. I know. I’m an idiot. I had this out-of-body moment where I actually saw myself saying it and asking myself, “did I just say that”? I have since been dreading Thanksgiving ever since. The endless stirring & mixing all recipes by hand because I don’t have a mixer that can handle anything more than a cake mix. So anyway, this would be a HUGE motivator for me and maybe I could start liking Thanksgiving again?

I have her recipe, but have never been able to do it justice. With a new stand mixer I would blow the recipe out of the water! I could make as many dumplings as I wanted, because my hand wouldn’t fall off because of a hand mixer. 😉 Granny would be proud.

The first thing I would do would be to make my Mom’s chocolate chip cookies. She was famous for them, but used an older stand mixer that had no guts! I have often said, ” Wow…if Mom had only had a Kitchen Aid!” She died in 1989, when my oldest was just one year old. But I have instilled the love of the kitchen…especially baking, into my 3 kids. They all know their way around the kitchen pretty well….would make their Gramma Henry proud!

The only mixer I’ve ever owned was my mom’s little handheld electric one that was older than me, I just turned 17, and it up and died not too long ago.. Other than that little guy I’ve always hand mixed everything. I’ve always wanted to be a baker and the kitchen is kind of my domain of the house, so it’d really be a blessing to win this. The first thing I would make would probably be a cake for my boyfriend, he’s always been so good to me and I’ve never had much to give but my heart and love for baking in return. If I won this mixer, I would make memories. At a time when most teen girls and their moms are hating each other, my 14 year old daughter and I have found that we are closer than ever by sharing our love of cooking. We spend at least an hour every day in the kitchen making the most delicious food for the rest of the family. The kitchen has become our haven and during our time spent there, I have discovered just how amazing of a young woman my 14 year old is. While cooking, we share our secrets, hopes and dreams. On the weekends, her friends come over and they share our time together and I have been discovering so much about their generation. My daughter has decided that she wants to be a chef and has chosen her top 3 picks of culinary schools she would like to attend. I have wanted a KitchenAid mixer since I first got married, but it always seemed the money was needed for other things and now I am now saving money for my daughter’s dream. Being a mom is never easy, but sacrificing to be able to help her fulfill her dream makes it extremely rewarding.
