Summertime seems like it is the mother of all seasons for eating. Maybe I notice it more because the kids are home. But I can see a huge difference in my monthly bill. As a way to lighten up my kids diets I decided to make my own flavored syrups for the kids to add to their sodas. A year ago we were given a SodaStream. I was very very skeptical. Seemed like a big gimmick. But it was I wrong! It is super! We use it all of the time. I use it primarily for the fizzy water I drink constantly. Instead of paying 3 dollars a bottle it is just tap water with fiz. I add in fresh fruit juices and even a touch of the syrup. The kids never know the difference! Now don’t feel like you have to run out and but one. You can still just use store bought soda water and get the same effects.
