It is Friday afternoon with chilly dampness in the air. The kids were out of school today because of Parent Teacher Conferences. So that means a Friday lazy day for this crew. So, while they are watching a movie I have snuck up to my office to write. This past week has been amazing. I am beginning to feel like I can handle this Mom working thing and still have a family that thrives. At first this was a struggle because I want to do it all. But, I am learning to say no. I do not like to say that! But now I do it when there is no possible way in heck I can get all the stuff on the list done without my head exploding or collapsing.
With all of that said: I am loving my work on Channel 9 with 405moms! For the first time since having kids I feel like I am getting an identity not just as Jack’s wife or Jackson and Caytie’s mom. I am Caryn Ross, The Fat and Sassy Mama or the chick that cooks on tv. I LOVE THAT!!! I love seeing everyone trying my recipes and stopping me in the grocery with a tip or a comment! Remember, I am just a gal with a love for cooking so I appreciate any and all of the tips. This Fat-n-Sassy mama is a work in progress!
As if doing weekly segments on the Channel 9 is not enough….I was thrilled to be asked to film with Sara Roe, the Money Saving Queen, (http://www.moneysavingqueen.com/) for her upcoming Christmas Special! It was so much fun having her here in Norman and boy did we giggle. You will have to watch to see what in the world we are up to!
