Frozen Holiday

I know we are getting ready to go into a deep freeze but I am here to share with you some delicious recipes that will warm you up! The secret is Braum’s Holiday Ice Cream! I know…how can that be? Well, yesterday morning I woke up, made my coffee and then realized I was out of creamer! In a panic I looked in the freezer (don’t ask me why…I had not had my coffee yet) and saw the Braum’s Egg Nog Ice Cream! So, I added a scoop to my coffee and it was perfect! Think about it. The ice cream had the cream, sugar, and even the spices. Perfect solution to my coffee woes. Then after my first cup I got to thinking of how to make an ice cream based hot drink mix. And so the experiments began! You are going to love these recipes. The best part is that you can place the mixes in an airtight container and keep in the freezer. I also am planning on giving them as gifts! Super simple and tasty!

Egg Nog Chai Tea Latte 

1 container Braum’s Egg Nog Ice Cream
3 envelopes Chai Tea Latte Mix
Allow the ice cream to soften and then scoop into a large bowl. Add in the chai tea mix and then stir well with an electric mixer. Place in an airtight plastic container and freeze. To serve simply place a small scoop of the latte mix into a mug and pour hot water over the top. Stir and Enjoy!
Peppermint Mocha Latte
1 container Braum’s Peppermint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream
1/4 cup instant coffee
1/2 cup sugar
Allow the ice cream to soften and then scoop into a large bowl. Add in the instant coffee and sugar. Stir well with an electric mixer. Place in an airtight plastic container and freeze. To serve simply place a small scoop of the latte mix into a mug and pour hot water over the top. Stir and Enjoy!
Caramel Pecan Pumpkin Pie
1 container Braum’s Pumpkin ice cream
1 pre-made short bread cookie pie crust
1/2 cup Braum’s caramel sauce
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 container Cool Whip or whipped cream
Soften the ice cream. Pour the caramel into the bottom of the cookie pie crust. Spread around the bottom so that it covers it completely. Place scoops of softened ice cream into the crust and using a sheet of plastic wrap, press down to make even. Top with whipped cream and then drizzle with additional caramel sauce and sprinkle with pecans. Serve!
**Perfect to prepare these in the small pre-made graham cracker crusts for the kids!
