Need a creative gift on the cheap? The Money Saving Queen and I got to crafting and made some super nifty coasters! I have been giving these as gifts and everyone loves them!
Here’s what you need:
Unfinished tiles (available at Lowe’s or Home Depot)
StayzOn Ink (in two colors, we used red and black and purchased it at Hobby Lobby)
Design Stamp (available at Hobby Lobby)
Initial Stamps (also available at Hobby Lobby)
Self-adhesive cork (Hobby Lobby)
Clear-coat
Be sure to use the 40% off coupon for Hobby Lobby
These are so easy to make and normally run about $23 at craft stores. Once you’ve invested in the stamp stuff, you can make these for as little as $3.
Instructions:
First, wipe down the tiles a bit to remove excess dust. Use your design stamp first on your stamp, then stamp on the initial or smaller design you are wanting. Let sit a few minutes and spray with clear-coat. Flip over and cut a square of the self adhesive cork and apply to the back of your tile.
You’ll be surprised how easy this is. Wrap it up pretty and pass it on for teacher gifts or your special someone!
