Tomato Quiche
6 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup Braum’s whipping cream
1 (9-inch) pie crust, unbaked
1 cup Italian cheese blend, grated
1/2 cup finely sliced basil
2 green onions, chopped
2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place the pie crust in the oven and cook for 7 minutes. Remove from the oven. Beat together the eggs, whipping cream, basil and green onions. Sprinkle the cheese on the bottom of the crust and then pour the custard over the top. place the tomato slices on top. Bake the quiche for 30-35 minutes or until it does not wiggle in the middle.
Baked Hash Browns
One 15-ounce bag frozen hash browns
2 teaspoons Trader Joe’s 21 Spice Salute or your favorite seasoning salt
3 slices bacon, sliced thin
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 yellow onion, sliced thin
1/4 cup olive or canola oil
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 stick Braum’s salted butter
Preheat the oven to 425°F. Squeeze the hash browns to remove any excess moisture. Place the potatoes in a large bowl. Using an oven safe skillet or cast iron skillet saute the onions and bacon till softened. Add the onion and bacon mixture to the potatoes. Toss the potatoes with the beaten egg, seasoning salt and oil. Return the skillet to the stovetop and melt one stick of salted butter. Add the potatoes to the skillet covering the bottom completely. Place in the oven and cook for 45 minutes or potatoes are crispy around the edges. Flip the potatoes onto a skillet and serve while hot.
