As you travel Rt. 66 you will come across one of the most iconic visible images of times long ago. That is is the Blue Whale in Catoosa, Ok. When I was given my assignment I had to see this famous whale that is in an old watering hole from the 50’s. Did you know that Catoosa, Oklahoma is the most inland seaport in America? Thus the whale…Once passing the whale, just up the road a smidge, is hands down the BEST STEAKHOUSE on Rt. 66 called Molly’s Landing. It is tucked by the river and its grand entrance is the old bridge that used to span over the river. Now they have it as their own entrance!Once you drive in you immediatly realize that this is not your ordinary steakhouse. The smells alone make you want to rush in and get to eating! I have to say once I met everyone I quickly realized this is a “family” approach to running a restaurant. Lots of young people working in the kitchen and learning the art of food preparation using real food. No processed foods. Hand cut steaks, hand skewered veggie kabobs, freshly roasted garlic for freshly baked bread. See the theme here. Fresh! I was truly impressed by their dedication to making good fresh food. Molly’s Landingis a must if you are traveling down Rt. 66 or even going to visit the Tulsa area. I cannot wait to take my family there so I can share this rare Oklahoma gem!News9.com – Oklahoma City, OK – News, Weather, Video and Sports |
