Holy cream cheese!!!
This may be the neatest thing ever!! Picked as a Finalist in The Real Women of Philadelphia Cooking Contest, get to meet Paula Deen and then a trip to Savannah….I am totally in shock! Partly because I am sitting in a closet with the kids, the cat and my phone is blowing up over the news!!! Now you are asking…Why are you in a closet? Well this is Oklahoma in May…TORNADO WARNING = TORNADO IN THE AREA…TAKE COVER!!
I have to say the best part of this whole thing…my kids are getting to see that dreams really do come true. With hard work, dedication and some confidence you can do anything!!. For the better part 6 weeks, I have been focused on cream cheese. In fact, that is all I have been focused on…CREAM CHEESE! I have scoured cookbooks, the internet and just made stuff up. All the while trying all of this out on friends and family. My kids have seen all of this! Today, I got to tell them the good news!! I want them to really know that “sitting on your biscuit never having to risk it” is no way to live!
When I met Jack almost 20 years ago I was someone who always wanted to do the “safe” thing. No risks in anything. He taught me that he would never work in a cube and that if wanted to make things happen I need to be confident! Now I really went for it! So, next month this Momma is headed to Savannah!

HOLY MOLEY! My sister is going to have a meet and greet with Paula Deen?
I love her!
She has some of the best recipes on earth. Her banana pudding recipe with those little chessmen shortbread cookies is out of this world!
I know she is going to just love you and your recipe!
