This might be the best week ever! This weekend is Labor Day and the kickoff of college football! If the men in your house are not fired up then you might need to check their blood pressure. My family is already asking “what are you going to fix for game day?” Well, I need things that are quick and easy to cook but will feed a crowd! Check out these super simple grill or oven friendly dishes. The best part is that they use FOIL! So the cleanup is simple. Nothing worse than doing dishes while everyone else is sacked out on the couch watching the game!
Bratwurst and Peppers
1 package Schwab’s Bratwurst
1 red, yellow, and green pepper, sliced
2 yellow onions, sliced
olive oil
salt and pepper
Mozzarella and cheddar cheese
hot dog buns
heavy duty foil
Preheat oven to 400 degrees or heat grill to high. Using a large piece of heavy duty foil, set it on the counter. Place the onions and peppers in the center of the foil and then set the bratwurst on top. Sprinkle cheese over the top. Seal the foil folding the top and sides. Place on the grill or in the oven for 20-30 minutes or until brats and veggies are cooked through. Serve on hot dog buns!
